Education and research

Learning to do research
means learning to ask better questions.

At HiPaC, we supervise undergraduate, master's, and PhD projects in theoretical particle physics and astroparticle physics. A project can grow out of a conversation, a course, or your own curiosity.

A project with a path forward

You do not need to arrive with all the answers.

A good project starts with a well-chosen question. We will work with you to define it, identify the tools you need, and build a path suited to your experience and interests.

01

Let’s talk

Tell us which courses, topics, or questions interest you. You do not need to have a finished proposal.

02

We design the project

We choose a problem and a methodology: analytical, computational, or oriented towards experimental data.

03

We investigate as a team

You develop independence with the support of a member of the group and access to an active scientific community.

Possible formats

UNDERGRADUATE

A first encounter with research

A focused problem, fundamental tools, and step-by-step support.

MASTER’S

Go deeper and make connections

A more ambitious question, with room for coding, specialised literature, and original results.

PhD

Advance in academic research

A long-term research programme integrated into the group’s active lines of work.

The next step

Write to us directly.

If you are interested in any of our research areas—or if you are not yet sure which one—send us a brief message telling us where you are now and what you would like to explore.
